Writing and drawing have been a life-long practice and outlet for me. At 12 I decided I wanted to become a writer and at 13 the nick-name Sweaty Pie was born. My Grandfather proof read my first short story with me and to this very day, "Come One Sweaty Pie" is still something my family refers to with a laugh. The line in my book was meant to say "Come On Sweetie Pie" and so it became one of many, laughable moments about me. Today, I am happily and gratefully using this sweet and once upon a time, embarrassing phrase proudly and with a full heart. That little girl who was once afraid to be seen has come a long way. Look at me now Poppa!

June 2023, I was struggling to find my place in this world as a single homeschooling mom of 2. I had lost all my desire and ability to creatively express myself and release what I needed to. An old friend and I had a catch up call and she mentioned trying a daily manifestation journal. The trick was to write as much detail as possible, using all my senses to create entries as if they had actually happened. The memory of my first entry is still just as real to me as any lived memory I've had. It's quite amazing what we are capable of and the magic we can create for ourselves. So I wrote that night, feeling the magic of this imagined reality take hold. Then I wrote the next night, but as I wrote my made up day, out poured Maggie Ashberry. I stayed up all night writing a few chapters of that book and spent every night after writing 7 more books!!! The healing, growth, awakening, outpouring and receiving of love from so many and the fire the past couple years have awakened and blessed me with are beyond any words I've been able to find as of yet. Believe you can, and you will! Find your cheerleaders and supports. One thing I've learned is that many of them are right inside each and every one of us.
